Priyanka Chopra Jonas, accompanied by her husband Nick Jonas, received an honorary award at the Red Sea Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Fans greeted her on the red carpet with cheers and her iconic song ‘Desi Girl’ from ‘Dostana’. Sarah Jessica Parker presented the award to Priyanka, calling it an honor to do so. Several photos and videos from the event have since gone viral on Priyanka's fan pages.
In her speech, Priyanka Chopra expressed gratitude to Sarah Jessica Parker, saying, "Sarah, you are such an icon to so many of us. Thank you for your kind words about me and my work over the years. It meant a lot to me."
She reflected on her journey, saying, "When I started at 18, I came from an industry focused on Hindi and Telugu films. I was told non-English films wouldn’t travel, yet here we are today."* Priyanka also praised Sarah’s efforts, adding, "You’ve created a safe, incredible space for storytellers worldwide to connect without borders or language barriers."

She thanked her husband Nick Jonas, her late father, family, and colleagues. "My husband is here, the gentleman that he is. My father was my first entertainer; he showed me the joy of being at the center of a crowd and taught me how to be confident and vulnerable through art," she added.
