Boman Irani wins Best Actor at IFFSA Toronto for ‘The Mehta Boys’

Bollywood actor Boman Irani has been honoured with the Best Actor Male award in the feature film category at the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Toronto for his exceptional performance in his latest film, ‘The Mehta Boys’.

After receiving the South Asian Film Association (SAFA) award at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, Boman Irani has added yet another accolade for ‘The Mehta Boys’.
In the film, he delivers a captivating performance that explores the complexities of a father-son relationship with both humour and depth. His powerful portrayal has struck a chord with audiences, garnering well-deserved recognition at multiple film festivals.

Boman Irani celebrated his award win by sharing a post on Instagram, captioned, "Best Actor Male Feature Film – Boman Irani for ‘The Mehta Boys’. He brings to life a complex character with a deft blend of humour and depth, engaging audiences from the very first scene." 

In addition to acting, Irani directed, wrote, and produced the Prime Video Original film, co-writing it with Oscar-winning writer Alexander Dinelaris Jr, known for ‘Birdman’. The film follows a father and son at odds who are forced to spend 48 hours together.
