It has been a tough week for the Chopras. The mortal remains of Priyanka Chopra's grandmother was laid to rest in an unkept graveyard in Kerala, an experience PeeCee calls "awful". The 94-year old's, a Malayali from Kottayam, last wish was to be buried at the St John's Attamangalam Church in her hometown. However, when contacted officials of the establishment blatantly denied permission saying she had had married a Hindu. "The act of church was awful. But we should not concentrate on it. Rather we should look that we lost a family member," said Chopra. The funeral was later conducted at St Thomas Jacobite Church at Ponkunnam. The actress, her mother Madhu and brother Sidharth were in attendance for the rites.
