Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' has a fresh addition to its ensemble. Bollywood's fine actress Tabu has been roped in the sequel of the 2007 horror-comedy 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa.' While the original featured Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja, the sequel will have a fresh cast. The Anees Bazmee directorial went on floors in Mumbai on October 9 and now Tabu will join Kartik and Kiara in the ghost story.
Kartik couldn't hold his excitement for this new addition and shared his picture with Tabu with a message which read, “Welcome @tabutiful Mam to the world of#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 Cant wait to Shoot !! A source close to the development said, "Tabu has been in talks with the makers for a while now. She loved the script and her role. She is expected to join the cast in January when the second three-month schedule kicks off in London and Rajasthan."
Interestingly, this isn't Tabu's first stint in the horror-comedy genre. The actress was seen in 2017's horror-comedy, 'Golmaal Again', directed by Rohit Shetty. Tabu played Anna Mathew in the movie someone who can interact with ghosts. The source further added, "Though it’s the same genre, there’s nothing in common between the two films and Tabu’s character, too, is dramatically different and one of the USPs of the film." While talking about the sequel, the source added, "But while 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' was a psychological-thriller with lots of laughs, the sequel is a proper horror-comedy with plenty of spooky moments."
