Actress Tabu is all set to collaborate with long-time friend Ajay Devgn again after 23 years. The two were last seen together in 1994 action-drama 'Vijaypath'. Now, it has been learnt that the actress was approached to play a major role in an upcoming contemporary romcom written by Luv Ranjan of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' fame. It will also be produced by him, and feature debut director Akiv Ali.
A source close to the film said that Tabu has given her nod to the project and is looking forward to play the character that will showcase her in a completely different light. “It's a unique romcom and not a love triangle. Ajay and Tabu are not opposite each other and Luv has written the role with Tabu in mind, believing that only she can play the part. Another A-list actress will be cast as Ajay's love interest,” the source said. A quirky take on urban relationships, the film is expected to roll by the end of the year.
