Longtime actor couple Sonakshi Sinha, 37, and Zaheer Iqbal, 35, declared "We are now man and wife" after a low-key civil marriage at Sonakshi's sea-facing Bandra West apartment. The ceremony was attended by close family and friends, with blessings from both sides and "both of our gods," although Sonakshi's brothers Luv and Kush did not attend.
Earlier, there were rumours that Shatrughan Sinha might not attend Sonakshi's wedding, but tensions eased as he accompanied her during the registration. Despite her parents' presence, Sonakshi's brothers, including Luv, were absent. When asked about this, Luv requested time to respond, saying, "Please give me a day or two. I’ll address your question then if I find it appropriate. Thank you for asking."
The bride and groom matched in ivory attire: Sonakshi adorned her mother Poonam Sinha's wedding saree, complemented by a sleek bun and gajra, while Zaheer wore an embroidered kurta-pyjama. Their collaboration began with the music video "Blockbuster" released in September 2022, followed by their appearance together in the comedy drama "Double XL" months later.
The newlyweds hosted a reception at a fine-dining restaurant in Dadar, where Sonakshi wore a red Banarasi saree and Zaheer sported a white open jacket with matching pants.
