Siddharth has commended veteran actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan for establishing a standard in the Tamil film industry by never endorsing "alcohol, cigarettes, or paan masala." Speaking to the media, the actor mentioned that they made this choice long ago and have remained consistent with it.
Siddharth remarked, “Years ago, Rajini sir and Kamal sir made a decision they still uphold. They refrain from endorsing surrogate advertisements for alcohol, smoking, paan masala, and similar products. Their stance has set a precedent, and we're proud to have such legends in our industry. They have been trailblazers in many aspects.”
In 2022, Akshay Kumar received criticism on social media for appearing in an advertisement for paan masala. He had participated alongside Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan in promotions for Vimal's cardamom products, a brand that also markets tobacco items. Following the backlash, he publicly announced his decision to end his association with the brand and apologised to his fans. Kumar also pledged to dedicate the endorsement fee to a charitable cause, as stated in his message.
