Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra make it a point to avoid each other at every social gathering where they are anticipated. While it has become easier ever since PeeCee began taking on US projects, the recently held Zee Cine Awards 2018 came as a dangerous ground for the two alleged lovers to cross paths.
Priyanka was scheduled for her first performance on an award show after a gap of two years, and had reportedly charged a whopping Rs 1 Crore PER MINUTE for the 4-5 minute performance. Shah, on the other hand, was aware of her part and arrived at the venue earlier than usual. He did not even pose for the cameras, using the entrance meant for performers to get to the venue. He also left as soon as he arrived. Priyanka got to the ceremony after Shah's exit, posing for the lenses and later giving a brilliant performance on stage.
Both the actors were friends till a few years ago, until strong rumours of an extra-marital affair between them began doing the rounds. Cameras had also spotted them stepping out together at 3 am, an incident they brushed off as rehearsals for a show. Reports and rumours soon got out of hand and Shah's wife Gauri allegedly intervened and snapped all ties with Priyanka. It is also said that she also made sure that the two were never seen in public together.
