At the launch of ‘Singham Again’ trailer, Ranveer revealed that the film marks their daughter's debut, affectionately referring to her as "baby Simmba," a nod to his character's name in the ‘Singham’ franchise.
Ranveer Singh shared that Deepika Padukone was pregnant with their first child while shooting for the Rohit Shetty film. He explained, “Deepika is busy with the baby, so she couldn't come. I’m on night duty, so I’m here. This film features many stars, and I want to emphasise that this is my baby's debut—baby Simmba.”
He added, "Deepika was pregnant during the shooting of ‘Singham Again’." Ranveer also wished the audience, saying, “So, a Happy Diwali in advance to all of you from Lady Singham, Simmba, and baby Simmba.”
Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first child on September 8, 2024, announcing the news through a heartfelt Instagram post that read, "Welcome Baby Girl 8.9.2024. Deepika and Ranveer." Since the birth, the couple has maintained a relatively private life, although Deepika has updated her Instagram bio to reflect her new routine: "Feed. Burp. Sleep. Repeat."
