While many would agree that receiving India's fourth highest civilian honour would be exciting enough, it was something, or rather someone else who got our beloved Priyanka Chopra going. Priyanka received the Padma Shri along with a bunch of her Bollywood colleagues all distinguished for their contribution to the arts. Amongst those who received the award was Rajinikanth, who received the Padma Vibhushan at the same ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan. “I was very excited to get my Padma Shri with Rajinikanth sir. He was getting the Padma Vibhushan but we were in the same room and that was really exciting for me as I am his huge fan,” the actress told the media. “He is such a big legend in the field of cinema. To watch him right in front of me being honoured by the President, that was exciting for me.”
The 'Quantico' star had flown back to India for a day to collect the award, from Los Angeles where she is currently shooting for the second season of her TV series.
