One man's loss, is another man's gain. Actress Parineeti Chopra has officially replaced Shraddha Kapoor in the biopic on badminton ace Saina Nehwal. T-Series head Bhushan Kumar announced Pari's casting in the film last week, however, refrained from addressing reports of Kapoor's exit. The 'Stree' actress hasn't addressed the issue either. On the other hand, Parineeti Chopra, who is awaiting the release of 'Kesari' this month, re-tweeted Bhushan Kumar' post and said “Truly, truly grateful!!!”
Meanwhile trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “ITS OFFICIAL... Parineeti Chopra to play renowned badminton player #SainaNehwal... She will start training for the biopic soon... Directed by Amole Gupte... Produced by Bhushan Kumar... Filming will be completed by 2019-end... Early 2020 release.”
Shraddha had begun filming the movie in September after exhaustive training for several months. However, she was diagnosed with dengue two days after she began filming, and was advised to take rest. While she was expected to resume filming in April, she quit the project reportedly due to a long line-up of pending projects. A source said, “Despite everyone's best efforts, dates were clashing, so it made sense for Shraddha to opt out. The decision was taken by mutual consent.”
