Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui admitted that he once found himself influenced by people who encouraged him to smoke marijuana. In a recent interview, he reflected on that period, confessing he regrets those mistakes.

During an interview, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked if he had ever tried smoking marijuana. He admitted to trying it, saying, "I was with some people who smoked up, so I ended up doing that too. Later, I realised... I don't want to promote it. I've made mistakes, but the benefit was that it added to the enjoyment of travelling." He emphasised, "I do not want to promote it at all. It was our mistake, and I want to apologise for that."

In the same conversation, Nawazuddin admitted to trying bhaang multiple times, particularly during Holi. He shared, "After consuming it, I felt like I was the biggest actor in the world." He continued, "I would imagine people as my audience and the world as my stage. I would take on roles like Ashwatthama, Karn, or Krishna and perform for hours. The effect would keep me in a loop, performing from morning till night. Later, when it wore off, people would say, 'Have you gone mad? You've been repeating the same dialogue all day!' I would perform in parks, buses, anywhere."
