Undoubtedly one of the finest dancing divas in Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit will reportedly put her well-acquired skills to the test multi-starrer upcoming 'Kalank'. It is reported that the veteran actress will essay the role of a dance teacher to Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani in the movie. A source revealed, “Madhuri who is known for her dancing skills, will be seen playing mentor to Bhatt and Advani's character. In fact, Advani is only making a cameo appearance in a special song. Madhuri is undergoing rigorous preparation for the role.”
Period drama, 'Kalank' is directed by Abhishek Varman, and features Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is scheduled to release on April 19, 2019. The movie is set in the 1940s, and filmmaker Karan Johar's father's dream project. The source said that the film will also have Dixit and Bhatt shake a leg together. “Madhuri and Alia will start rehearsing for the dance number in a month's time.” An epic historical and emotional drama, the movie was rumoured to be titled 'Shiddat' in the planning stage before the final announcement.
