The highly awaited Dharma Production movie, Kapoor & Sons- Since 1921, presented by Fox Star Studios, is slated to be released on 18th March 2016. But you won't have to wait until then to catch a glimpse of this film. The much anticipated trailer has officially released and is increasing the excitement amongst Bollywood cine-goers.

This colourful family drama stars the veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor, as the wise 90-year-old grandfather, looking virtually unrecognisable. Playing the youthful leads are Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan. Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah play Sidharth and Fawad's parents respectively.

The film is directed by Shakun Batra, whose first directorial venture, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, was also produced by Dharma Productions.

Kapoor & Sons is not about your quintessential happy family; there's tension, awkwardness, as well as a dash of humour.

The look for Rishi Kapoor's character was created by none other than the Hollywood special make-up effects artist, Greg Cannom, who has three academy awards to his name. He was also the man behind Brad Pitt's look in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, as well as Robin Williams' in Mrs Doubtfire.

The director of Kapoor & Sons, Shakun Batra said, “I had gone to meet Rishiji to discuss the script and his look, and he had a picture from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button on his mobile phone. Co-incidentally. I found out that Cannom was in Mumbai for another film. So, we met him. He is so brilliant. He works on the make-up minutely, as per the characterisation details and script.”

Check out the trailer for yourself, and make sure you watch this wholesome entertainer in March.
