On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child—a baby girl—on September 8. The joyful news comes just a day after the couple was seen arriving at a Mumbai hospital, eagerly awaiting their daughter’s arrival.

The timing of their baby’s birth is particularly special, coinciding with the festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha, who is revered for bringing good fortune and removing obstacles.

Just a day before Deepika went into labour, she and Ranveer were spotted at Mumbai’s renowned Siddhivinayak Temple, seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha ahead of this life-changing moment. According to insiders, both mother and baby are in good health, and the family is overjoyed with the arrival of their little princess.

This new chapter in Deepika and Ranveer’s lives is a significant milestone for the couple and their fans, who have been eagerly anticipating this news since their fairytale wedding in November 2018.

In February, Deepika and Ranveer announced their September due date on Instagram, though they didn’t specify the exact date. Recently, rumours about the baby’s imminent arrival surfaced, prompting Ranveer to return to Mumbai from his film commitments to support Deepika. On the work front, Deepika’s latest film, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, saw her working during her pregnancy, with the director humorously noting that even her baby contributed to the project. The couple will be back in the limelight with their film ‘Singham Again’, set to release in November.
