Bollywood celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi in style

Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 is bringing festive cheer nationwide, as vibrant celebrations and heartfelt prayers prepare homes to welcome Lord Ganpati with love and devotion. It's a time for families to unite and traditions to shine brightly.

Naturally, Bollywood celebrities are joining in the celebration with the same enthusiasm and dedication. Just as the rest of the country opens its doors and hearts to Ganpati Bappa, our stars are no exception. Trust B-town celebrities to welcome Ganpati Bappa with their fashion game on point in the Bay. 

From lavish pandals to intimate family gatherings, they too are embracing the festive spirit with grandeur and devotion, making Ganesh Chaturthi a truly spectacular affair across tinseltown and beyond.

Bollywood’s beloved fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, hosted a grand Ganesh Puja at his residence, drawing a star-studded crowd. The event saw a mix of Bollywood’s rising stars and iconic veterans in attendance, all joining together to celebrate the festive occasion. The designer shared glimpses of the celebration on Instagram, where the photos and videos were eagerly devoured by fans. In one selfie, Kiara Advani dazzled in a red ethnic suit, posing alongside the designer. Arjun Kapoor all smiles in a cream kurta, joined in, radiating charm ahead of his role in Singham Again.
Ayushmann Khurrana, Tahira Kashyap, Iulia Vantur, and Kajol joined Manish Malhotra for a cheerful selfie at his Ganpati celebration, all dressed in elegant traditional outfits. Shanaya Kapoor dazzled in yellow, Khushi Kapoor in pink, while veteran actress Rekha stole the show in a stunning green saree, radiating timeless beauty.

Shilpa Shetty celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in a sage green lehenga paired with a rani pink sleeveless blouse featuring a purple and gold border. She completed the look with a matching dupatta, diamond nose ring, chandbalis, and purple, white, and pink bangles. Shamita Shetty wore a cherry red leheriya salwar kameez with khadi gold prints and a matching polka dot dupatta with gold coin details. She accessorised with red and gold jhumkas, complementing her look for Ganpati Darshan at both Manish Malhotra's and her sister Shilpa's homes. 

Bipasha Basu and her daughter Devi Basu Singh Grover twinned in matching bright yellow and gold sharara sets adorned with zari work. Rakul Preet Singh celebrated her first Ganesh Chaturthi post-marriage with husband Jackky Bhagnani. Bhagyashree attended Shilpa Shetty's celebration in a pink saree with gold zari design and a gold blouse with floral motifs. Kusha Kapila dazzled in a teal blue silk saree with silver thread embroidery at the same celebration.

Salman Khan and his sister Arpita Khan Sharma continue the tradition with grand Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, while Shah Rukh Khan shares heartfelt messages of devotion with his fans. Shraddha Kapoor also celebrates the festival with family rituals. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and his family marked the occasion by performing puja at their home, sharing a video of their Ganpati welcome.

Kartik Aaryan visited Mumbai's iconic Lalbaugcha Raja for Ganesh Chaturthi, sharing photos on Instagram of himself seeking blessings from the deity. His caption read, "HE is back… and so am I for his blessings Modak Party Begins!!! Ganpati Bappa Morya." Meanwhile, Bollywood's newest parents, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, were spotted at Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple on the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi. The couple, all smiles as they arrived, was photographed entering the temple to receive Lord Ganesha's blessings.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha, now married to Zaheer Iqbal, shared a heartwarming video of them performing an aarti. In the caption, Sonakshi wrote, "Love grows in respect, when a couple honours each other’s beliefs in true harmony…Our first Ganpati after shaadi." Superstar of the South film industry, Allu Arjun gave fans a glimpse of his Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at home via Instagram Stories, showing his daughter decorating the area for the deity. Sharvari dazzled in a violet Kanjivaram saree as she celebrated the festival.
The Ambani family celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at their residence, Antilia, with great devotion, marking a special occasion as newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant joined the festivities. Ananya Panday dazzled in a golden saree, while Shraddha Kapoor wore red. Rajkummar Rao and his wife Patralekhaa, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Aamir Khan with his sons Junaid and Azaad, and Salman Khan, all made notable appearances, adding to the grandeur of the celebration.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani looked stunning as they posed together for the paparazzi, while Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan brought their signature sass to the red carpet. The reunion of Kareena and Arjun Kapoor, stars of ‘Ki & Ka’, created a social media buzz. Also making appearances were Sonam Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sachin Tendulkar, and Jackie Shroff with his family. This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi was made even more memorable by Anant Ambani’s donation of a 20-kilogram gold crown, valued at Rs 15 crore, to Mumbai's renowned Lalbaugcha Raja. The intricate crown, which took artisans two months to craft, added a special touch to the celebrations.
