Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had a meltdown recently at a charity event, when the media, despite requests to maintain silence, continued to click pictures. To commemorate her late father's birthday, the actress went to an NGO with her mother, and daughter Aaradhya, to meet patients with cleft-lips. Aish has reportedly decided to sponsor the surgeries of 100 kids conceived with congenital fissures and palates.
The L'Oreal spokesperson was bombarded with camera flashes, that startled the kids. Disappointed with the insensitive behaviour, she first urged the photographers to stop clicking her pictures as the kids were also around. However, the media wasn't one to yield, prompting the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' actress to burst into tears. The day was supposed to be a personal for the actress as she lost her father to cancer only in March this year. She reportedly found the media rather imprudent to invade her privacy. She also felt the kids present were not part of the glamour world and should not have been exposed to the unwanted attention.
In consequences to Aishwarya's emotional meltdown, the Bachchan family has decided to keep the youngest in the family away from the paparazzi. A source revealed that Aaradhya has been told by her mother how to handle the swarm of reporters. “Aaradhya has been taught by her mother Aishwarya to handle the paparazzi. Being so young, she already understands that she's part of a family that's constantly in the public domain, and she will be clicked wherever she goes. Aaradhya handles the cameras like a pro,” a source said. They added that the way the media has been treating, it is too much attention for a child of her age.
