Gurpreet Singh, Charnjit Singh and Kanwar Singh who are basically a group of Bhangra dancers in Ireland have performed on Irish music with a Punjabi twist to celebrate the fusion of two cultures on St Patrick’s Day. Shamrock Bhangra, a folk dance group, aims to keep the bhangra tradition alive among the South Asian diaspora. Choreographed in a socially distanced setting, the video is produced by Irish band Jiggy and UK-based The Dhol Foundation, a bhangra musical group. Bhangra represents the spring harvest festival Vaisakhi, in the month of April. The Irish group has given Bhangra classes to children for the past many years.
