University of Roehampton appoints Indian-origin professor as Director of Business School

Professor Sunitha Narendran has been appointed by the University of Roehampton as the new Director of its Business School, and will start at the University ahead of the new academic year.

Professor Narendran joins from the University of East London where she was Head of the Department of Business. Before beginning her time at UEL in 2016, she was the Head of the Department of Management at Kingston Business School, Kingston University, where she held a range of key academic posts.

Sunitha is a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development); Associate Fellow of the BPS (British Psychological Society); Fellow of CMI (Chartered Management Institute) and a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society of the Arts). Her international leadership experience in Higher Education includes academic and leadership roles at the National University of Singapore, MARA in Malaysia and the University of Bangalore, India. In 2018, she was awarded a Visiting Professorship at Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, Guangzhou, China.
