The 103rd birth anniversary of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj was celebrated on 14 and 15 December 2024 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London. The event, held twice over the weekend, drew thousands of attendees to honour the saintly virtues, divine life, and timeless legacy of Pramukh Swami Maharaj through vibrant cultural performances, enlightening presentations, and insightful discourses.
The celebrations began with uplifting kirtans by children, highlighting the noble virtues of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. This was followed by a video presentation showcasing his selfless life and remarkable contributions, along with video testimonies from world leaders attesting to his widespread impact.
The theme, ‘Rediscovering Pramukh Swami Maharaj,’ focused on personal observations and experiences by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, as detailed in his book, ‘Jeva me Nirakhya 4’. A panel of swamis elaborated on Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s strength and conviction, especially his support for children with terminal illnesses and the spiritual bliss experienced by senior devotees in their final moments.
A musical tribute, performed by swamis and youths, eloquently explained Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s eternal association with God and his unwavering devotion despite hardships.
For the finale, Mahant Swami Maharaj brought the rediscovery of Pramukh Swami Maharaj to fruition with his personal sentiments that were captured in a video recording created especially for this occasion.
The celebrations concluded with a colourful dance by children, filling the atmosphere with devotion and reverence.
