The world wide recognition and acceptance of India’s legimate right of revoking a temporary measure of Article 370, which was inserted to appease vote banks by the then Congress government, is a fact. Even the UN Security Council members (US, Russia, China, UK) have accepted that. The wishy washy reaction of the Labour party is also one more example of appeasement to it’s perceived vote bank.
The anti-India protest on 15th August (India’s Independence Day) by thousands of Pakistanis bussed in from far distance areas in the UK was nothing but a hateful, violent and undemocratic action which was resisted by peaceful Indian supporters who were just celebrating the Indian Independece program inside India House with dignity. Indian origin MPs and Lords have kept total silence about this ugly and dangerous incident. Only Bob Blackman, a Conservative MP, has the courage and convinction to support India and denounce this unaceeptable behaviour of provoked Pakistanis. These Indian origin MPs and Lords conveniently claim their Indian heritage whenever it suits them but are totally silent when they ought to speak up and stand by their homeland India.
Why should they be applauded and honoured by our commuity when they are past masters of silence when it suits them?
