I refer to Lord Dolar Popat's article in Asian Voice (13-19 July, page 3)
I have just one question for him - how would the English lady from Shadwell classify all the young Indians (if they were not wearing the India shirts)? I am quite certain that words like 'British' or 'English' would not be uttered, bearing mind majority of young ones would have been born in UK. It takes two to tango.
Putting aside what the country has given to us and all our contributions to the country, after over 50 years in UK, I do not see any evidence that we have been fully accepted in this country - we remain 'Foreigners'.
