Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat starrer “Bangistan” has been banned by the UAE censor board, putting a stop on its entry into the United Arab Emirates. The Board found the film content offensive and has raised strong objection to its release. “It is very disappointing that the censor board finds the film offensive as there is no such content in the film. We shall be sending it to the re-examining committee,” producer Ritesh Sidhwani said. “Bangistan” is about two suicide bombers, Hafeez Bin Ali Ishwarchand Sharma and Allah Rakha Khan Praveen Chaturvedi, who are brainwashed into an explosive mission but eventually realise that death wish is a futile exercise.
