Pakistani actress Mahira Khan's 'Bin Roye' has hit a roadblock in India after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena strictly demonstrated against the release of the movie.
Bowing to the demands from the Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, distributor of B4U Films, has shelved the release of the film in the state, as per an official. The distributor submitted a letter to MNCKS president Amey Khopkar confirming the decision. However, the movie would be released as scheduled in other parts of the country on July 17.
The MNCKS had written to B4U raising objections to the movie's release in the state and also threatened to stop the film, 'MNS style'. Khopkar argued that Pakistan sponsors terror in the country, particularly Maharashtra, and its people do not permit Indian artistes to work in their country. He said that the MNCKS had no objection if the movie released elsewhere in the country.
'Bin Roye' is a romantic drama directed by Momina Duraid and stars Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed, Armeena Rana Khan, Zeba Bakhtiar, and Javed Sheikh. Most of the songs in the movie are sung by artists from India like Rekha Bharadwaj and Ankit Tiwari. It is after a gap of several years, that a movie from the neighbouring country is up to release in India.
