Long serving and established filmmaker Subhash Ghai will be honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Indian Film Academy ceremony in Kuala Lumpur next month. The 70 year old veteran is well known for his films like “Kalicharan,” “Karz,” “Hero,” “Ram Lakhan” and “Taal.” The award will be presented to him by Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff, one of the actors' whose career was kicked off by Ghai. Fondly called the Showman, Ghai has been associated with the Indian film industry since 1967. He had started his career as an actor, with small roles in movies like “Taqdeer.” He has a knack for cinema and appreciates and encourages young talent with his institute, Whistling Woods.
