After actress Bipasha Basu shared her 'life-scarring' incident in an interview with a magazine, she has been on the receiving end of endless criticism and flak from the Twitterati.

She said, “Yes, I have been propositioned. For Valentine's Day, one lesbian had bought me a diamond necklace. She was in love with me. I freaked out. I was so scared, I started crying. I was really young. Even now in parties, when I notice people coming towards me and dancing strangely, I just push them and run away. I am still petrified.”

The 'heart to heart' did not go down well people's throats as Twitter fumed with vehement criticism. Many also went as far as to call her homophobic. Rohan Bhatt of AIB fame tweeted, “Bipasha Basu is scared of lesbians? Why? Does she think one of them will offer her a good script?”

It was Buzzfeed editor, Rega Jha's tweet that brought the absurdity to notice. Not making the matter any better was the magazine who printed the interview with the headline, “I am petrified of lesbians.” Even though the actress seems unfazed, she seriously needs to think before putting her ignorance on display.
