Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan has unfailingly entertained the audience with variety by signing on films that offer different roles, looks or story lines. The superstar Khan has now quoted to being open to foreign films too.
When asked if he saw himself in a foreign project, he said, “I have no issues doing a foreign film, I will be happy to do one. As long as it meets my requirements I wouldn't mind.”
Further asked if he was approached for any, he said, “Yes, I have been approached many times but up till now, none of them have met my requirement which means I have to be excited by the script, the director has to be someone who I trust and respect. I have mainly been offered Hollywood films, but I've not liked any of them so I've said no to all of them. I don't want to do a foreign film for the sake of doing a foreign film. Irrespective of language, if the material excites me, I am happy to do a Chinese film, it should be the right material.”
The actor believes there are many Hollywood directors whose films match his sensibilities, “There are so many fine directors; there's Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and many of them, I am just naming a couple.”
Aamir is currently working on his upcoming film “Dangal,” which will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. The movie is slated to release on Christmas weekend next year.
